Chemo Round 2

Charlotte's Chemo Team - lead by the North Dakota raised awesome nurse Kristen!

In the last few days, before this second round of chemo, Charlotte had what felt like electrical shocks going through her boob. She wasn't sure what to think of that - but reaching out to friends who have gone through this she learned that this is the cancer dying! When she met with Dr. Rubens Chang's PA Lisa Adams, Lisa confirmed this. Awesome!

Early this morning, Charlotte had her blood work done and everything looked great! Yay! After that was round 2 of chemo. During the chemo, she beat me at scrabble with 2 (yes, 2) 7-letter words. Oy, where is this “chemo brain” I’ve heard about? Though, honestly, this is about the only way I can get her to sit through a whole game of Scrabble without wandering off to do something else.

Her hair is really starting to fall out pretty quickly. She's got her wigs & hats ready and she is having a head-shaving party this Wednesday. Donny’s serving bald foods and folks can bring their favorite toppings. Amazing outlook on this all. She's kickin' this cancer's butt.
